What factors affect the service life of explosion-proof LED lighting?
LED lighting explosion-proof lamps are a type of explosion-proof lamps. The principle is the same as that of explosion-proof lamps, except that the light source is a light-emitting diode light source (LED light source), which refers to lamps that take various specific measures to prevent the ignition of explosive mixtures, such as explosive gas environments, explosive dust environments, gas gases, etc. LED explosion-proof lamps are currently more energy-saving explosion-proof lamps, and are widely used in petrochemical, coal mines, power plants, gas stations and other places. LED explosion-proof lamps have good energy-saving effects and brightness, so what affects the service life of LED explosion-proof lamps?
There are five factors that affect the life of LED explosion-proof lamps.
First, mold quality is the first condition that determines the service life of LED explosion-proof lamps. In the manufacturing process of LED chips, contamination from other process processes such as impurity ions and lattice defects will affect their service life, so high-quality LED chips should be used.
Second, packaging will also affect the life of LED. At present, several major companies in the world, such as Cree, Lumilends, Japan Asia, etc., have corresponding protection for LED packaging. The post-processing packaging requirements of these companies are relatively high, which ensures the life of the LED. Most companies have a lot of imitations of LED post-processing packaging, which is acceptable from the appearance, but its process structure and process quality are poor, which seriously affects the life of the LED.
Third, the design of the lamp will also affect the life of the LED lighting explosion-proof lamp. The key is the heat energy generated when the radiant light-emitting diode is lit. Using the original high-quality LED products of Cree and other companies on different lamps, the life of the LED can differ by several times or even dozens of times. For example, the integrated light source lamps (single 30 watts, 50 watts, 100 watts) on the market currently have poor heat dissipation in the contact part between the light source and the heat dissipation channel. Therefore, some products have a light attenuation of more than 50% after 1-3 months of illumination. Due to the lack of a reasonable heat dissipation mechanism after using a small power tube of about 0.07 watts, some products have very fast light attenuation. These products have low technical content, low cost and short service life.
Fourth, the power supply of the lamp also has a great influence on the life of the LED explosion-proof lamp. Because the LED is a current-driven device, if the power supply current fluctuates greatly, or if the frequency of the power supply spike pulse is high, it will affect the life of the LED. The life of the power supply itself mainly depends on whether the power supply design is reasonable. Under the premise of reasonable power supply design, the life of the power supply depends on the life of the components.
Finally, the ambient temperature also affects the life of LED lighting explosion-proof lamps. At present, the short service life of LEDs is mainly due to the short service life of the power supply, and the short service life of the power supply is due to the short service life of the electrolytic capacitor. The service life index of electrolytic capacitors has another feature. The lower the ambient temperature, the longer the service life of the capacitor. Even the common electrolytic capacitor, which has a service life of 1000 hours, can reach 64000 hours at an ambient temperature of 45℃, which is enough for ordinary LED lamps with a standard life of 50000 hours.
